I bought the shampoo and conditioner. I love them both and feel they are worth the money. This product seems to last a long time. A little goes a long way. Here is my review of the shampoo:
My hairdresser recommended this shampoo and the conditioner. I got sticker-shock when I saw the price but I was too embarrassed to back out of the purchase. I'm glad I gave it a try. My husband actually insisted I order this product because of the difference t makes on my hair. My hair looks much less dry with this product. My husband is now using it too |
If there were more stars than five, I'd go higher on this BRILLIANT CONDITIONER!

Alterna. For the hair product cognoscenti. I wrote a detailed review of the Alterna Caviar Seasilk Moisture Shampoo. How amazing, how remarkable, how regal the shine it imparts, how it relaxes frizz and works a magical whammy to smooth your hair. Well, it's only fair that I dub this, the counterpart to the shampoo, the Moisture Conditioner, with the same sprinkling of love.
I've been using this Alterna Caviar conditioner (and the shampoo) for over a year now. To say it's made a huge difference in my hair beauty--and to the heads of hair of my little girl and hubby, each with our own hair issues--is an understatement. We have new heads of hair, I kid you not.
Here's the deal, and you won't find it anywhere but here: you can use this conditioner, not just as a rinse-out conditioner, but as a pomade--a leave-in conditioner, a bonus smoothing agent. So I submit that this is two-products in one. And again, like the shampoo, it imparts shine and smoothness in amazing quantities. So shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse, and then put a dollop of the conditioner into your hands. Rub your hands together, and distribute lightly through your towel-dried hair. Your hair will dry without the slightest trace of having conditioner in it. All you'll see are the amazing results.
Bad news is, you'll run out of the conditioner twice as fast. Buy the larger size--once you've tried it and love it--to save money on volume pricing. |

Smells good, feels good, but having gotten it for so cheap, I'm still not sure if it's the real thing or an imposter. I've never used Alterna before and need to find a legit. beauty supply store that will let me feel a little bit of the real thing to compare.
Perfume's not fantastic, but it's o.k. Seems to work o.k., so far.
Aug. 21-09 O.K., I've been using it for several weeks now and really like it. The perfume grows on you. My hair seems to be getting healthier. Found a beauty supply store that let me feel a little bit of what this is supposed to be, and I'll guess this is the real stuff. |
