NO BOTOX: *StriVectin-SD* 6 Oz [NEW GLOSSY Packaging, EXP.2009]: Anti-Aging Breakthrough. ERASE Face Wrinkles & Stretch-Marks. BEST-SELLER for 2nd Year in a Row.
I use different lines of products, which I like. But I always apply Strivectin first. I also use it, of course, when I am not wearing makeup nor any other products.
The "why" is that it leaves my skin feeling supple, never tight. I have combination skin, so I do not apply it to oily areas. It simply makes my skin feel healthy. I use just a little bit, and pat it on the dry areas and a big scar across my throat from surgery.
I do not concur that it is "better than botox" or that it erases lines, unless they are lines from dry skin. It does not have the ingredients to do that! But it is the one product I can't live without! |
it does make a difference

| I started using the immitation Provection from wallgreen's at much less, i liked it and gave this a try. I really like this stuff, and it is way better than the cheap versions that claim to have the same ingredients. It won't erase time on your face, but it definately stops it! and makes the skin perfect - not oily, not dry, a nice glow. I've been using it for 2 years now-used to get it at GNC which was cheaper than Macy's, have not bought it over line but will as it saves at least $40.00. it is a big tube and lasts a good time, i only need to replace it about 2 times a year. I did try it on stretch marks and noticed nothing so i don't waste it on that anymore, but it does have a nice overall effect on the face especially if you are over 40. I hate their stupid "dumb luck" add, can't see how it sells on that, but i read about older models using this product and like i said tried the cheaper copycat version first which does not do justice to the real thing. Use it 2x a day to see any results. Yes, it's pricey , but it is also 3x the size of most face creams. I also have not used it when traveling, didn't want to pack the big tube, and would definately not feel or look as nice in a matter of days without it. It's not a miracle, but it is pretty neat stuff. |
Everything they say, and then some!

| This product is highly personal. Based on reviews I've read here and elsewhere - for some it works, and for others it doesn't! If you are one of the "lucky ones" --it's amazing. In about 4 weeks time (or less) of diligent daily use, it has made a huge difference. Since I began using it, I receive constant compliments on my "great skin" - and no wrinkles. I am in my late 50's - and I'd put my skin up against a 40 year old's, any day of the week. My suggestion is perhaps to team up with a friend - split the cost and then each try it sequentially. It is a bit pricey, but totally worth it to me. I think it just depends on your type of skin. |
I like it

I think that many who have tried Strivectin may have high expectations (because of what Strivectin claims)on the product, like anything else that is sold in the beauty world of products, it will work for some and some not. I like it cause it makes my skin so soft. I didn't expect to totally diminish my wrinkles completely, but it is definitely giving my skin the moisture it needs to look healthy. I have tried many products with no results. I normally do not spend alot on wrinkle creams but once in a while I do. The most was from Shiseido,Clinique, Oil of Olay, Neutrogena, L'Oreal, Lancome, Estee Lauder, etc (they both work great such as making your skin soft, Neutrogena & Oil of Olay did ok but my skin was still dry) I thought I'd try this one to see it would help and it seems to keep the moisture in. It seems to have the ingredients my skin likes so I am happy with it. It is expensive but it lasts for a while, you don't need to put too much on. From what I have learned and will have to expect that aging is a part of our life, I have a hard time facing it myself!
I think if you really want to rid/diminish of your wrinkles, you might have to end up in a plastic surgeons office and even then nothing is guaranteed and there are risks and it's not a one time shot, you have to keep it up.
I would also recommend healthy eating habits and lifestyle too to help the insides make the outsides look healthy too but your genetics also play a key role on how you age, etc. |
Great stuff

| I have used StriVectin-SD for about 5 years, morning and night. It is a great moisturizer and has made a big difference in my skin and minimizes my wrinkles! I received it in record time and at a good price. |
"Can't do without it"

| I have used StriVectin-SD for a few years and I can't do without it. I'm 52 and both my mother and sister asked what I was using on my face as it looked much smoother. I use it faithfully twice daily, in the morning on my crows feet and forehead and in the evening over my entire face. The only downside is I have oily skin and it is a bit heavy. I have tried many different brands and found StriVectin-SD works best for me. It may be a bit pricey but as they say "I'm worth it". |

| This stuff really changes your skin. I've used it in the past and it gets rid of scars, dark patches and uneven tones. Recently I've been dealing with left over skin issues due to some Impatigo. Things are clearing up beautifully. It really, really works. |
Pleased with the results!

| I have used this product twice a day for the past three years and believe it works for me. It has definitely decreased the fine lines and wrinkles in my face and I can see and feel smoother skin. It's not an overnight success but if you use it as directed, I believe it does what it is suppose to do. I have read other reviews where they don't think it works for them but I personally think it does a good job. I like the scent as well. It's not too strong for me. I recommend this product! |

| I have been using this product for about a year. I use it mostly on my neck and I am very pleased with the results. I have virtually no wrinkles or lines and I am 51. It is expensive so I buy it on ebay (oops, can I say there here??) |
Best for the money

I have tried every skin moisturizing product available within my budget which tops out at about $100.00. I have used the cheaper ones, Olay, Neutrogena, etc. spending lots of money in lesser amounts but creating nothing but a lot of purchases for probably a lot more money.
In the long run I believe Strivectin is the best buy and has the best results for the money. My skin is soft and supple and does look somewhat younger than my actual age. It also take a lot LESS product and lasts forever.
If you are younger I believe the results would be even more remarkable.

Not what it so highly claims...

I have been deligently using the Stri-vectin SD, HD, and eye cream for over 3 months and unfortunately I do not see a difference in my fine lines (also used the serum that lasted about a month). I spoke with a rep on the phone before the purchase and they 100% gaurenteed it would work on the fine lines. They say to give it 6 weeks but they only allow a refund up to 4 weeks. I am a healthy organic eater and drink lots of water - I do not understand why they would claim something so adamently. Oh well - silly me.
So I'm wondering if it just my skin chemistry not agreeing with it. I really belived in the product due to their high claims of results. If anyone else can refer me to other creams, please do. |

I have been using this for a few weeks but I am not sure it has really done much at this point. As I said in the title, the jury is still out.
For the money spent on this product, I sure hope it produces some results! |

I've been using it 2 times a day for 4 months. Unfortunately, i did not get the result it promised, even though i am 30 yo and just started to get wrinkles. I think (hope) StriVectin gave some good to my skin overall, since it is full of great ingredients. However, i cannot really see it.
The bottom line is it was too expensive for me (even though i found it for $95) for the result i got.
I plan to go with Shiseido next time. My friend got rid of wrinkles with it.

Don't buy if you have oily skin!!!!

| I tried to use this product for months on my face but it began to breakout, it was too heavy for my age (29) and for my oily skin.Don't buy if you have oily skin. Then I had to use it somewhere on my body and i gave it a try on my butt and it felt good. It looked more moisturized, soft, smooth... and it seemed to me that my cellulite had got better...but I can't garantee to you because...you know...we are so hypnotized by this ads.I don't know if I'll buy again. My strechmarks are exactly the same as ever (on my butt). |
Hoax claims - but feels great on skin

I have used Strivectin three times a day for about three years. Being 45, I would have appreciated the disappearance of some lines or wrinkles. However, there is absolutely no change in them with Strivectin. I find the claims to be bogus and I'm glad the FDA has been investigating them.
On the other hand, this moisturizer feels better on my skin than any other I've used. I love the feeling of it! Peppermint is what makes it feel cool but apart from that it is wonderfully thick and luscious on the skin without being sticky or oily. Of course, there are probably moisturizers for a quarter of the cost that feel just as good. The problem is that most moisturizers are for women and contain scents that are supposed to appeal to women (although I cannot imagine how they would). Strivectin does not contain strong scent so it is suitable for men to wear.
Therefore I give this 0/5 stars for doing what it says it does - because the claims made for the product are bogus based on my experience. I give this product 2/5 for being a good men's moisturizer but it is way too expensive for a mere moisturizer so cannot be rated more highly than 2/5. |
DO NOT BUY! SAVE MONEY!

This product is all hype and ABSOLUTELY NO SUBSTANCE!
I bought this product thinking it would at least fade new stretch marks acquired through weight loss if it didn't affect old growth spurt stretch marks. I applied RELIGIOUSLY for 6 weeks...not even a hint of a fade. I am extremely disappointed. I will never buy this companies products again and I recommend to other women not to waste their time or money...you could be using another treatment that is more effective for 6 weeks instead of wasting your time with this peppermint moisturizer with a hefty price tag! |
Not Good For Stretch Marks

TOTAL HOAX

i am disgusted to recently have learned that this company and its products are complete hoaxes! i purchased a tube of StriVectin-SD on recommendation of a GYN for my pregnancy stretch marks. Imagine how anxious i was for a product and at the advice of a Dr. no less, i was impatient to try it and forked over the 80EURO for 50 ml/1.7oz. (that size is not even available in the US). I became severely disheartened when i read reviews about the product here on amazon.com and at [...]. they were love/hate at best. and many accused the product and its company of fraud stating over-zealous claims that are being investigated by the FDA. between this, the exorbitant price and the late logic that there is no such thing as a cream that will clear stretch marks in a few weeks (especially with run of the mill ingredients) i returned it, thankfully in time to stringent French return policies.
upon my new quest to find another product i came across striadril. seeing the cognitive link, i put the product in wikipedia's search engine and read that BOTH products are made by the same company under different sub-names (Basic Research makes Strivectin-SD and Generix Labs makes Striadril) , both made by the same manufacturer at the same location (Salt Lake City, Utah) however the only difference is; "This company sells the product Striadril, which is billed as a generic version of the Strivectin-SD product at a fraction of the cost. Many customers are not aware that Striadril is the exact same product as Strivectin-SD, manufactured by the exact same company, just with a different package and price point to attract a lower-end consumer." !!!! How GROSS!
Striadril can sell for $[...] USD and StriVectin-SD $[...]!!!! (again not taking into account the price gouging in Europe!) it's worth noting that there is a prevailing myth circulating that StriVectin-SD used to be a prescription and is now "public". Complete and utter BS. What's more, the cream is not only a stretch mark eraser but a wrinkle remover!! a veritable all-in-one beauty cure-all!! Ha!
(** the reviews i read on amazon.com a few days back also cited that many of the 5-star reviews were by 1 time reviewers made on the same days, i.e. possible deliberate company contributions. i can no longer find that product listing with those reviews, there were well over 30 on that listing. i decided to post here instead)
when Americans are so lawsuit-happy, where's the uproar over this?? more regulation in the cosmetic industry is overdue. |
